Cancer biomarker platform
Digistain measures the tumour’s biochemistry directly from routine tissue
Digistain is a cancer biomarker company. Our platform reads the chemistry of routine tissue sections with mid-infrared spectroscopy, and our first product, Digistain Breast, gives recurrence-risk evidence in time for the treatment conversation.

Products
One platform, built product by product
Each Digistain product applies the same measurement to a specific clinical question. Digistain Breast is the first.
Digistain Breast
Results before the next appointment.
Recurrence-risk evidence for HR-positive, HER2-negative early breast cancer. Recurrence risk assessed in 801 patients receiving endocrine therapy without chemotherapy, with a median follow-up of 12.7 years in the validation cohort.
Further cancers
Research is under way in further cancers. These applications are investigational, not available for clinical use.

How it works
The same tissue, read by its chemistry
Routine tissue
The measurement uses tissue sections prepared from the surgical sample. No extra procedure for the patient.
Chemistry, measured
Mid-infrared spectroscopy measures chemical signals such as phosphate and amide in unstained tissue.
A score for the clinician
Software turns the chemical signal into a result the clinical team can use alongside other factors.
Hospitals and laboratories can run the test and issue results themselves, or use Digistain’s laboratory service.
